The cyanotype chemical process is not only one of the oldest photographic methods, but also the origin of the "blue" in "blueprint", where it was used to copy architectural drafts long before scanners and printers existed.
Like the monuments of former Yugoslavia, this alternative photo process has gone in and out of fashion over the years. Perhaps it's time to bring both back for good.
